SOME CHARACTERIZATIONS OF HYPER MV -ALGEBRAS

In this paper we characterize hyper MV -algebras in which 0 or1 are scalar elements . We prove that any nite hyper MV -algebra that 0is a scaler element in it, is an MV -algebra. Finally we characterize hyperMV -algebras of order 2 and order 3.

CHARACTERIZATIONS OF EXTREMELY AMENABLE FUNCTION ALGEBRAS ON A SEMIGROUP

Let S be a semigroup. In certain cases we give some characterizations of extreme amenability of S and we show that in these cases extreme left amenability and extreme right amenability of S are equivalent. Also when S is a compact topological semigroup, we characterize extremely left amenable subalgebras of C(S), where C(S) is the space of all continuous bounded real valued functions on S

Simple characterizations for commutativity of quantum weakest preconditions

In a recent letter by Ying et al. [Inf. Process. Lett. 104 (2007) 152-158], it showed some sufficient conditions for commutativity of quantum weakest preconditions. This paper provides some simple characterizations for the commutativity of quantum weakest preconditions, i.e., Theorem 3, Theorem 4 and Proposition 5 in what follows. We also show that to characterize the commutativity of quantum w...

Algebraic Characterizations of Measure Algebras

We present necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a countably additive measure on a Boolean σ-algebra. For instance, a Boolean σ-algebra B is a measure algebra if and only if B−{0} is the union of a chain of sets C1 ⊂ C2 ⊂ ... such that for every n, (i) every antichain in Cn has at mostK(n) elements (for some integerK(n)), (ii) if {an}n is a sequence with an / ∈ Cn for each n,...

Order and Commutativity in Banach Algebras

S. Sherman has shown [4] that if the self adjoint elements of a C* algebra form a lattice under their natural ordering the algebra is necessarily commutative. In this note we extend this result to real Banach algebras with an identity and arbitrary Banach * algebras with an identity. The central fact for a real Banach algebra A is that if the positive cone is defined to be the uniform closure o...
